Pirate Treasure Chest Birthday Cake

My girls love pirates, reminds them of trips to Disney and their favorite movies! So we had a lot of fun carving this pirate treasure chest.

Worked hard to achieve a real wood grain effect with marble fondant, which I then hand painted. The bottom tier is yellow vanilla cake with chocolate cream filling and the top tier is red velvet cake with French vanilla cream.

The cake is covered in chocolate fondant and decorated with edible jewels, cameos, broches, pearls, a flask, gold cross and chocolate coins. Also we painted a map with "x marks the spot" to locate the treasure! And yes, it was all edible. Isn't cake decorating great?

Gold and Ivory 50th Wedding Anniversary Cake

A square three tier ivory cake with gold accents for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration at Above Restaurant in South Orange NJ.

The cake is French Vanilla with Hazelnut and Cappuccino cream fillings. It is decorated with golden fondant pearls, ivory drapes, golden roses and looped bows on top. We included a framed edible image from the couple's original wedding cake cutting ceremony.

The gold accents took time but are worth the effort to achieve a fine touch for such a special occasion. I used an edible gold lustre dust and dipped a small amount of alcohol on the brush to create a golden paint.

Paisley Wedding Cake and Cupcakes

The groom wanted a large cake and the bride preferred cupcakes. We delivered this blue paisley themed cake to their celebration in Edison NJ. The cake was French Vanilla with Amaretto Moccha buttercream, while the cupcakes were Red Velvet with a Cream Cheese swirl and a paisley shape to match their blue and silver party invitations.
