Stephanotis Flowers Pink Cake and Cupcakes

A simple pink cake draped with cascading white stephanotis sugar flowers and pearl centers sits on this cupcake display. The cake is made of layers of red velvet with cream cheese filling. Each vanilla cupcake has a vanilla frosting swirl either in pink or ivory colors, topped with a stephanotis blossom or oversized fondant pearls.

The cake was delivered to NISI restaurant in Englewood NJ for a beautifully decorated first birthday party.

Running up the Wonky Cake

I was asked to create a 50th birthday cake for a wine connoisseur and marathon runner in Montclair NJ. I designed a three-tier wonky French vanilla cake with orange chocolate cream filling. The cake was covered in dark chocolate fondant, with violet and green stripes. The tier separators were decorated with green stephanotis flowers and I encircled the lower tier with glittering purple fondant pearls. The cake sat on a chocolate fondant base wrapped in a green ribbon. It was fun designing the runner, the biggest challenge is always what to do with the arms, I opted for the victor's pose!
