Chanel Purse Cake with White Ottoman

For a 50th birthday party we crafted this red Chanel purse cake standing on an Ottoman stool cake and accompanied by a black Chanel shopping bag. Inside is all yellow vanilla cake, one with strawberry butter cream and the others have Madagascar vanilla bean cream filling.

The red purse is quilted, has a jeweled Chanel logo, and is draped with edible gold chains and pearls. The Ottoman cake sits on four gold feet.

Delivered to Philippe Restaurant on the Upper East Side of Manhattan NYC.

Red Carpet Star Birthday Cake

A red carpet theme cake for a fabulous birthday party at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Elizabeth NJ. This traditional yellow cake is filled with layers of strawberry buttercream and banana cream filling.

Each of the three tiers is cut away towards the bottom, then covered in white fondant. A red fondant carpet rises over the cake, which is also decorated with black and red stripes and shooting stars. A red fondant rope cordon holds back the voracious crowds, anxious to devour the cake!

Thomas and Friends Birthday Cake

We had a lot of fun making this Thomas the Tank Engine cake for a birthday party in Livingston NJ. The two tiers were both vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream filling, covered in a sky blue fondant. A railway track goes around each tier, trees and clouds also decorate the cake. Thomas, James, Percy, and Duncan ride the rails, while Mr. Topham Hatt watches over the four train friends.
