Blue and Chocolate Brown Damask Wedding Cake

Last week I was working on a five tier light blue fondant wedding cake with chocolate brown damask patterns to display at our Cake Fiction cakery in Union NJ.
Each tier has a different damask or scroll design, I love the elaborate finish that can be achieved, even if it is a nerve racking process to get everything aligned!
On top is a fondant monogram, with small sugar flowers.

Pinstripes Wedding Cake with Hydrangeas

A three tier Meyer lemon cake with Madagascar vanilla bean filling. The white fondant is covered in piped royal icing pinstripes, surrounded by small fondant pearls and decorated with a bouquet of white and lavender colored hydrangea sugar flowers. We delivered this cake to a garden wedding in Maplewood NJ.

Blue Hydrangea Wedding Cake

A customer celebrating their 40th birthday never had a formal wedding cake, so that is what we made for their big celebration in South Orange NJ. This traditional square four tier design has two tiers of pure white vanilla cake with dulce de leche cream filling, and the other tiers of red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. White fondant covers the cake, and it has fondant drapes shimmering with silver, fondant pearls encircling each tier, a piped monogram with ribbon wrap-around and bunches of cascading blue hydrangea sugar flowers.

Yo Gabba Gabba! Cake and Cupcakes

The latest young kids craze is the Yo Gabba Gabba! TV show. For a second birthday party in Bergen County I made a vanilla cake with chocolate pudding filling, covered in a light green fondant.

I modeled the five main characters (Muno, Plex, Foofa, Toodee, and Brobee) out of sugar paste and added a birthday message on a sign.

An assortment of two dozen matching chocolate and vanilla flavor cupcakes with vanilla buttercream swirls, decorated with colored polka dots and small white sugar flowers complete the display.
