Indian Wedding Cake with Damask and Paisley Shapes
I designed this irregular four tier cake for an Indian Wedding. The latte color fondant is decorated with paisley designs, hand painted damask shapes and fondant cut outs all in a garnet red color that produce a 3-D effect.
Piped swiss dots adorn the cake, connecting the various elements and surrounding the base of each tier. An elaborate bridge string work hangs from the bottom tier of the cake.
This wedding cake sits on a silver pedestal above a red velvet covered cake stand, that also has a gold brooch.

Gorgeous cake. I love the different sizes and that amazing idea of the pedestal covered in velvet!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it. I have been thinking about new ways to display cakes and thought this one needed a special touch.
