Wish Upon a Wedding Cookies


Cake Fiction was delighted to donate star shaped cookies to be placed in the swag bags at the launch of the NJ Chapter of the Wish Upon a Wedding charity.

Each of these cookies is covered in blue fondant, with green fondant heart cutouts, then individually wrapped and tied with a green bow.

The cocktail event takes place at the Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale NJ on Tuesday 1/18/2011. Suggested donations are $20 per person at the party. Your donations will go directly towards helping the charity grant wishes to deserving couples to help make wedding wishes come true!

Monkey Box Birthday Cake with Balloons


We made this monkey themed specialty cake with yellow and blue stripes and polka dots, for a first birthday party at the Hilton Garden Hotel in Edison NJ. The 3" bottom tier is chocolate fudge cake with Madagascar vanilla bean filling, and the extra tall 6" second tier is red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.

I sculpted a monkey with chocolate cake that burst out of the top of the cake and inserted fondant ballons behind with the birthday boy's name. He also holds a birthday gift and wears a party hat.

Hydrangea Wedding Cake with Violet Drapes


Our bride requested a violet colored four tier wedding cake wrapped around with darker purple drapes, periwinkle color fondant ribbons with small 1mm beads and bouquets of blue sugar hydrangeas.

The cake flavor combinations are yellow vanilla with chocolate cream filling and red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. I delivered this to a wedding reception at Giorgio's Restaurant in South Orange NJ.

Magenta Orchids Wedding Cake and St Hugh's Groom's Cake


A three tier wedding cake decorated with cascading magenta and white Cymbidium orchids. Also I piped on a snowflake design and added pearl dust to make them shimmer.
The cake sits on a square board covered in white fondant and supported on crystal feet.


The bottom tier has layers of chocolate and vanilla cake with white chocolate cream and raspberries. The second tier has almond and chocolate cake layers with dulce de leche cream. The third tier is chocolate fudge cake with amaretto moccha filling.

In addition, I made a Groom's Cake with the emblem of St Hugh's College at Oxford University, where the Groom studied. Inside is red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.


Both cakes were delivered to the Rock Spring Club in West Orange NJ for a snowy New Year's Eve reception with beautiful views of the New York City skyline.

Our friend Peggy Excell-Stone at Lotus Petals Floral Design in Maplewood created the table flower arrangements.
