Tiffany Blue Wedding Cake with Gems and Magnolias
This Tiffany blue wedding cake was made for the "Cakes for Cause" event in Gladstone NJ that raised funds for the charity Habitat for Humanity. It was a chocolate fudge cake with Amaretto Moccha cream and Madagascar Vanilla Bean fillings, which picked up on the bride's love for coffee and coffee shops. The Tiffany blue fondant is covered in an assortment of cast sugar gems to replicate diamonds and aquamarine jewels. The cake is finished with an array of large Magnolia flowers that have an element of fantasy, each with a large gem at the center. We were pleased to earn a close run second place! Orange Musical Note Cake with Tigerlillies
An 80th Birthday calls for a special cake, which we delivered to Little Quiapo Restaurant in Jersey City NJ. Two tiers of chocolate fudge cake and chocolate mousse filling are covered in a light orange fondant. The cake has small sugar pearls around the base of each tier, fondant musical symbols adorn the sides and then an array of hanging clefs and notes with golden beads top the display.

Cake Fiction at Orange Lawn Tennis Club Bridal Show
We were delighted to be invited to participate in a Bridal Show at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club. This prestigious location in South Orange (did you know the club was founded in 1880?) is a perfect place for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners. Make an appointment, go and check out this beautiful venue for your event.
There was a designer fashion show by Nicole Miller, dj performances, other wedding exhibits and surprises galore. We displayed a number of our favorite cake designs and served samples of our cake, which went down a treat!
The event was organized by ElegantBridal.

Baby Einstein Caterpillar Character Cake
Isn't this the brightest and biggest caterpillar cake? I think we cut the largest cake board yet to include all the cake half rounds. The vanilla cake with lemon buttercream is covered with multi-colored fondant and four of the animal characters (cow, dog, turtle and zebra) accompany the Baby Einstein caterpillar. The large display is finished off with a scattering of sugar flowers and butterflies, all totally edible!

Birch Wood Theme Wedding Cake
A beautiful wedding took place at St Margarites in Mendham NJ. We were pleased to deliver an original three tier cake wrapped in a birch bark fondant, tied with a fondant raffia and with several bunches of pink tulips. The couple's initials were carved into the second tier, as if it were a tree, and the cake was placed on a custom made wood display stand. The guests enjoyed the lemon and red velvet cake layers with lemon buttercream and raspberry jam in this peaceful woodland retreat.
The wedding photographer placed a fabulous angle of this cake on her blog, and the image was well appreciated by guests and her followers: http://www.mycharmingkids.net/2009/09/in-cool-forest.html
Our bride wrote to us to say "Thank you again for the WONDERFUL cake! People have been raving about it! It was beautiful and delicious!"
